“Gabby did my hair and makeup for my wedding in France at the end of August 2020 (as well as hair for 4 bridesmaids and hair/makeup for my mum). Despite all the chaos in the world, Gabby never wavered in being a part of the day and her communication was superb.
I felt a million dollars on my wedding day and it was all thanks to Gabby. My hair and makeup were done with so much love and care - Gabby is a true perfectionist and makes you feel so special and comfortable. She was a true pleasure to be around and my bridesmaids and I had so much fun with her on the wedding morning getting ready and chatting together.
Gabby was originally booked to come to my wedding with an assistant from the UK. When the quarantine rules were implemented, Gabby’s original assistant was no longer able to attend. Rather than worry me with this, Gabby arranged for another HMUA in France to assist her (and there was no change in the price). Alexia (the replacement assistant) was also superb and the hair and makeup she did for my bridesmaids was just beautiful.
Gabby also grew up near Bordeaux and so speaks fluent French. It was very useful for her to be able to act as interpreter with the florist on the morning of the wedding (as my French is pretty woeful!).
I also had a wonderful trial for my wedding with Gabby a couple of weeks before my wedding (as did my mum). She was so lovely and instantly made me feel relaxed and pampered. Although I had some ideas, I wasn’t really set on what I wanted, but Gabby is experienced to know what will make you look your best without pushing ideas or styles on you. She has some stunning accessories to be able to sample (but again doesn’t force them on you in any way).

Gabby has taken so many precautions in light of COVID-19 - her approach cannot be faulted.

““My dream as a Bride was to be a Princess but I’ve never worn makeup and wouldn’t know a bronzer from a highlighter! At my trial, Gabby was super friendly, and managed to relax me. From my (most likely confusing) requests, she managed to create a look that was perfect for me! I felt comfortable being in makeup, but also felt like a Princess!

On the day I had so many compliments! I was shocked that by the time my reception came around (at 7pm - my makeup was put on about 10am) - that my makeup was still perfect (even despite a few girly tears during the ceremony!) and I was still getting compliments!

Gabby was happy dancing around my photographer (who was taking photos are she was princess-fying me) and listening to my George Ezra on repeat playlist (sorry!)! Her friendly persona calmed me down, even when a last minute panic (late bridesmaid!) was making me fret.

I honestly couldn’t recommend her enough! You will be in safe hands with her - for both hair and makeup, she will listen to all your requests (even quirky ones like mine - I wanted bold blue eye makeup) and will be the smiliest person you’ll ever meet.
